What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapists have a background in neurology (the study of the nervous system), kinesiology (muscle movement), and psychology (study of human behavior) that we apply towards functional activity through a variety of therapeutic frames of reference.

There is an occupational therapist for each public school system, hospital, rehabilitation clinic, and home health service in the United States.  Many occupational therapists have set up private clinics, and they can be located through your state and national certification boards.
